Astral Hospice is a certified provider under Medicare Part A, which typically covers 100% of hospice care services for eligible patients. Medicare hospice benefits include:

• In-home hospice care services

• Hospice medications and pain management

• Medical equipment and supplies

• 24/7 skilled nursing care

• Emotional, psychological, and spiritual support

If your loved one is Medicare-eligible, our team will guide you through the Medicare hospice eligibility and enrollment process, ensuring a seamless start to care.

If you or your loved one is enrolled in Medi-Cal, hospice care services are also fully covered. As an approved Medi-Cal hospice care provider in California, Astral Hospice will assist in:

• Verifying Medi-Cal eligibility

• Submitting all required documentation

• Coordinating your benefits for a smooth admission process

Astral Hospice accepts most private insurance plans, including both Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans. If you have a private health insurance policy, we will:

• Contact your insurance provider directly

• Verify hospice benefits under your plan

• Manage all billing and authorizations

We work closely with all major carriers to ensure PPO and HMO hospice services are accessible without hassle or delays.

Astral Hospice is proud to support our nation’s veterans. We partner with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide VA-approved hospice care services. If you or a loved one is eligible for VA hospice benefits in California, our team will assist in coordinating services through the VA system.

In addition to Medicare, Medi-Cal, private PPO/HMO plans, and VA benefits, we also accept:

• State-funded hospice programs

• Union-sponsored health benefits

• Employer-based insurance plans
